Itinerary
Day 1. -Arrival Day
Meeting or pick up from the Airports or Ports in Croatia. Departure to the Accommodation. Overnight stay in Zagreb.
Day 2. Zagreb
Breakfast. Guided tour of Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. Transfer to Ljubljana. Guided tour of the capital city of Slovenia. Free time. Accommodation in Ljubljana.
Day 3. Lake Bled- Postojna Caves- Ljubljana-Zagreb
Breakfast. First visit to Lake Bled, a mixed lake of glacial and tectonic origin. Located in the Julian Alps in northwestern Slovenia. Short boat ride to the island, and walk around the church. In the afternoon, visit Postojna, the second longest cave system with 24,120 m of lenght and created by the Pivka River. Short stop at Predjama, the Renaissance castle built inside the mouth of a cave located 9 km from the Postojna caves. Departure to Zagreb. Accommodation in Ljubljana.
Day 4. Plitvice Lakes National Park
Breakfast. Transfer to Plitvice. Visit of Plitvice Lakes National Park, the largest and oldest park in Croatia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Transfer to Zadar. Accommodation in Zadar.
Day 5. Zadar- Split
Breakfast. Zadar guided tour, the oldest inhabited city on the Croatian coast. Departure for Split. Split city tour by a local guide and visit of Diocletian palace. Split is the second largest city in the country, founded as a Greek colony of Aspálathos in the 2nd or 3rd century BC. This was on the same spot where Diocletian’s Palace now stands, which was built by the Roman Emperor in 305 AD. C. Accommodation in Split.
Day 6. Split-5 Island tour (optional) / free day/ Bosnia & Herzegovina
Breakfast on board, boat excursion to the 5 islands (Biševo, Vis, Budikovac, “Hell Islands” or Pakleni otoci and Hvar) around Split. The most famous and important is the island of Hvar; one of the centers of Croatian literature with the fortress called Tvrdalj Castle which was architecturally designed by the poet Petar Hektorovic. Then, visit the Blue cave on the island of Bisevo. One of the most beautiful natural wonders in Croatia. Accommodation in Split.
Day 7. Split- Dubrovnik
Breakfast. Departure to Dubrovnik. Lunch. Dubrovnik or Ragusa, is the most prominent tourist destination in the Mediterranean Sea. Added to the UNESCO list as a world heritage site, in recognition of its outstanding medieval architecture and fortified old town. Guided tour of the city walls and boat ride around the city. Overnight in Dubrovnik.
Day 8. Dubrovnik-free day/ Elaphiti islands/ Bosnia & Herzegovina/ Montenegro
Reccomended optional tour to Elaphiti islands the entire day. Visiting 3 islands, one hour in the island of Koločep, one hour in island Šipan and 3 hours in island of Lopud. Lunch included. Swimming time in each island. Accomodation in Dubrovnik
Day 9. Dubrovnik – free day/ Elaphiti islands/ Bosnia&Herzegovina/ Montenegro
Breakfast. Departure to Bosnia and Herzegovina. Short stop in Međugorje, a popular site of Catholic pilgrimage due to Our Lady of Međugorje, an alleged series of apparitions of Mary, mother of Jesus, to six local children that are still happening to this day. Departure to Mostar. Guided tour of the city of Mostar, visiting the Old Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, built by the Ottomans in the 16th century. Overnight in Dubrovnik. Overnight in Dubrovnik.
Day 10. Dubrovnik-final day
Breakfast. Departure to the airport in Dubrovnik. End of services.
